The First Sickness took its toll.  It seemed every day more people were affected. Forty-five of the 102 Mayflower passengers would die in 1620 just before or after arrival in America. Mental Health was at stake for many, like Dorothy Bradford, who took her own life. Children were losing their parents. Young girls seemed most likely to survive. After the isolation in such close quarters for 3 months, Mary was eager to go onshore. Her father had a fever and her mother was coughing as well. Mary desperately needed to see light and find something to smile about. She thought it might give some perspective. She knew it was the start of a new chapter. She was eager to jump.

2020-

The Corona Virus has taken its toll. It seems every day more people are affected. Nearly 55,000 people have died in America and 1 million have been tested positive. Children are losing their Grandparents. Suicide hotline calls are up 800%. After 3 months of isolation, people are starting to protest. They desperately want to see the sunlight and find something to smile about. We need to keep perspective. This can be the start of a new chapter for everyone. Are you eager to jump?
